The summit will now take place in November

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 health situation, FoodNavigator-Asia and NutraIngredients-Asia has rescheduled the Healthy Ageing APAC Summit from July 7-9 to November 10-12, 2020, at the Hilton hotel in Singapore.

The event, which comes from the premise that healthy ageing is a lifelong endeavour, assesses the food, beverage and nutrition opportunities created by the region’s rapidly ageing population of today, and crucially, tomorrow.

Editor-in-Chief of FoodNavigator-Asia and NutraIngredients-Asia, and Regional Head of APAC at publisher William Reed, Gary Scattergood, said: “This decision has not been taken lightly, but the health and safety of our sponsors, speakers, delegates and staff is our number one priority.

“Following consultation with our stakeholders and taking the evolving health concerns and travel restrictions into consideration, we believe the new date for the Healthy Ageing APAC Summit will enable us to provide a better experience for delegates, speakers and sponsors.”

Delegate passes already purchased will be valid for the new dates.

The event has a stellar line-up of confirmed speakers including representatives from major brands Blackmores, Watsons, Nestle, Brands Suntory, NTUS, Nippn and Cerecin, alongside leading academics and market experts.

Probiotics focus

Meanwhile, NutraIngredients-Asia has also taken the decision to postpone its microbiome, probiotics and prebiotics event, Probiota Asia Summit, which was due to take place in November 2020 in Shanghai.

Gary added: “The event will now be held towards the end of 2021, with the exact date to be announced later this year.

"However, in order to maintain our long-standing focus and market-leading expertise on the microbiome in 2020, we will be introducing a stream on probiotics and prebiotics into the Healthy Ageing APAC Summit.”

This will shine the spotlight on the latest research, product innovation, consumer trends and market insights across APAC – the world’s fastest growing region for probiotic sales.

Gary added: “We apologise for any inconvenience these changes have caused, but we very much look forward to seeing you in Singapore in November and at our events in 2021.”
