As Japan ushers in the new emperor reign - the "Reiwa" era on May 1, we look how food and beverage firms are riding on the opportunity to launch new product designs.

A day after the name of the new era was unveiled, Nestlé Japan also announced that it would launch a new design for its KitKat chocolate bars on April 22 to celebrate the new era.  © Nestlé Japan

Coca-Cola Japan is one of the first few companies to launch products bearing the name of the new era "Reiwa". The designing team crafted a new design right after the name of the new era was announced. © Coca-Cola Japan
