Ecolab opens Asia Pacific HQ in Singapore

Ecolab has opened an Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore to strengthen its presence in the region.

The office, which has 170 staff, is in the JEM Office Tower in Jurong East and is a more modern workspace than the previous location in Singapore.

Employees include regional leadership and support positions for the businesses and the team for the Singapore market.

Sean Toohey, Ecolab executive VP and president, Asia Pacific, said: “We are proud to open our new headquarters office and maintain our strong company presence here in Singapore.”

Joining Ecolab to commemorate the Asia Pacific headquarters were officials from the Singapore Economic Development Board and the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.

Lim Kok Kiang, assistant managing director, Singapore Economic Development Board, said: “We look forward to Ecolab leveraging Singapore to develop new solutions to improve lives and the environment and further strengthen its presence in the region."

The office features an open floor plan. It also has 25 meeting rooms and multi-purpose collaboration and interactive spaces for employees.

Ecolab has a second office in Singapore and two manufacturing facilities on Jurong Island and at Gul Lane. The company has 482 associates in the country.

The firm has more than 4,000 employees and operates more than 90 facilities, including 23 manufacturing plants in the Asia Pacific.

It provides cleaning and sanitizing chemistries, water treatment and on-site service to customers in more than 40 industries throughout the region.
