After realizing local production is essential to establishing an operating foothold in the area, it decided to acquire a local company.
Katsumi Kitagawa, president, Toyo Ink Group, said the firm has been accelerating its global expansion by expanding sales offices in China and Southeast Asia and by setting up new manufacturing plants in developing countries such as India and Brazil.
It now plans to focus on MENA (Middle East & North Africa), Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.
