Alfa Laval to supply two $9m edible oil refining process lines in China

Alfa Laval wins $9m food deal in China
Alfa Laval Food Technology & Life Science segment has won a $9m order to supply two process lines for edible oil refining in China.

The order comprises engineering, heat exchangers and separators, to be used in different steps of the soybean and corn oil refinery process, with delivery scheduled for 2016.

China is the fourth largest producer of soybean after the US, Brazil and Argentina, according to the UN Food & Agriculture Organization.

Alfa Laval provides specialized products and engineering based on its heat transfer, separation and fluid handling technologies.

The company’s equipment helps customers to heat, cool, separate and transport products in industries that produce food and beverages, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol.
