The company, that manufactures products predominantly derived from fruits, was informed by a customer at the end of last year that its concentrate juice and glazed fruit products contained higher levels of sodium than stated.
A request for a full refund on the purchase, worth RMB50m (US$7.9m), has been made by the customer.
Verification of the claims is underway and further testing measures have been put in place throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product quality as a precaution, the company said.
Changjun Yu, chairman of China Nutriftuit, said the results of the tests will be made available as soon as it completed.
