The report said that Mario F. Preissler, the company’s executive vice president, was in India this week to initiate strategies in this regard.
Preissler told Mint that the company’s next stage of expansion in India would mainly come through acquisitions. He added that the acquisition could be a sizable one and the company is in talks with a few potential sellers.
DKSH first entered India in 1996, but only became prominent after its 2009 acquisition of the chemical trading division of Tata group’s Voltas India Ltd.
DKSH currently provides marketing, sales and distribution services through its own sales force to more than 700 customers in India.
